Will Pampers become snowboarding’s newest sponsor? Eh, probably not… but if more little rippers turn up like this adorable prodigy, it might not be a bad idea.

Ava Marie is 1 year old and she rips it up at Mammoth Mountain donning one of the cutest pink onesies I’ve ever seen. Full of personality and stylie heel-side stops, it won’t be long before she’s throwing 7’s and putting the rest of us “late bloomers” to shame. LOVE this girl!

WonderHowTo.com: A tutorial junkie’s best friend.

In my quest to learn the in’s and out’s of Final Cut Express, I came across WonderHowTo.com – a tutorial junkie’s paradise.

You can learn just about anything thanks to WonderHowTo’s intuitive way of sourcing every free how-to video on the internet. (Yesterday, I learned the basics of key framing in FCE. The day before, I brushed up on my “Beat the Carnival’s Claw Machine” skills.)

How it works: WonderHowTo.com features videos from everywhere on the internet. Users can submit a video for review. If the video has the intent to instruct the viewer, it’ll get posted. You can read the logistics on WHT’s FAQ page.

Videos are organized into categories for user friendly searches. Don’t bother trying to find something WHT doesn’t have – you’ll waste your life trying.

It’s nice not having to scour YouTube, Vimeo and other video platforms independently. Just type in what you’d like to learn at WHT (ie: wax snowboard) and you’re presented with a laundry list of tips pulled from various places on the internet. Super simple and efficient.

Oh, and a tip from me to you: beware of Expert Village. Their tips usually suck.

Do you have a “Snowboard Addiction?”

Ok, so it’s that time during the summer where I start drooling over new gear as the ‘09 websites go live and look on YouTube for all things related to snowboarding. I like searching for Trick Tips specifically, thinking I’ll somehow improve my riding via my computer screen if I watch enough of them. Up until now, I’ve rarely seen a Trick Tip that actually helped me. Usually, its a pro rider telling you how to do a 360, hand plant or boardslide. So most of that tip is them saying, “Get the right speed. Do this. And then ride away clean.” Oh! Well why didn’t you say so? If it were that easy, we’d all be pro and you’d be out of a job, broseph.

However, there is ONE trick tip series that legitimately tells you everything you need to know. Enter: www.snowboardaddiction.com. I kid you not when I tell you that they offer the most detailed, informative Trick Tip videos I’ve ever seen. Instead of the typical 2 minute video, you’re watching for about 10 minutes. Trust me, that’s not a long time because they literally break it down step by step. They tell you what you can do to prepare, what position your body should be in at all times and even threw in some trick variations. For example, if the trick tip was how to 50-50 a rail, they’ll show you that and then show you how you can 180 out both frontside and backside.
