Burton Layers: Overall Impressions

Christmas came early this year, kids. In an earlier post, I touched upon what I ordered from Burton. Well, the clothes are here… annnnd they’re fabulous. Burton baselayers are made with DRYRIDE Ultrawick fabric so they’ll dry faster, wick away moisture and avoid smelling like onions dipped in awful.
Just so you know, sizing runs BIG. [...]

Holden 2010 Outerwear

When you think mp3 player, you think iPod. Same goes for tight riding pants. If you want waterproof boot cut pants, you shop Holden.
All the women’s pants look sweet, but I’m a sucker for hemp material making Holden’s Arcadia Cargo Pant my favorite out of the group. The pants are available in a few colors [...]

Burton 2010 » Binding Haul

Maybe it was the bright blue that initially caught my eye. Maybe it was the “what-the-hell-kind-of-name-is-that” name. Whatever the case, Burton’s Molotov EST binding looks hawt.

Weight, flex, and price are things to consider… but if the binding isn’t comfortable, you’re eff’d. I like the new Park-Specific ASYM Superstrap. The shape’s been changed and the padding [...]

TREW Gear is based out of Hood River, Oregon. If you’re familiar with the area, you’ve probably enjoyed [...]

Burton 2010 » Snowboard Haul

It’s here. Burton dropped their 2009-2010 site and it’s taken a good chunk of time to sift through it all. To be fair to Burton’s extensive collection, I’ll start with some boards. Ready… go.
Feelgood V-Rocker

It’s got a soft flex pattern, increased pop in the tail and a resilient nose – seems like a decent choice [...]

Ride | CAPP3L 2009-2010 Outerwear

I thought there was a lull in new websites, but then realized I totally forgot to peep Ride’s 2010 outerwear. Whew. Crisis averted.
CAPP3L’s gear looks sick. I really like the different cuts, pocket placement, fabric textures and tech ratings. Take a gander at these two jackets. With a straight face, tell me you don’t love [...]

Nau » “Business Unusual”

As a self-proclaimed gear whore, I’m always on the prowl for the next best thing, so my friend suggested I check out Nau. This company sets the precedent for other companies – makes clothing from organic, recycled, and/or original fabric, offers competitive wages, & provides desirable work environments.
That’s not all, kids. Nau donates at least [...]

Nomis 2009-2010 Product

I’ve always been super jealous of the patterns, prints and overall awesomeness Nomis spoon fed the guys. Finally, Nomis Design is throwing us girls a bone – women’s outerwear is now available. I am stoked. Allow me to quote the fake Sean Connery from SNL’s Celebrity Jeopardy: “The day is mine, Trebek!”
With a collection of [...]
