After weeks of editing, I’ve finally finished putting together my demo reel. I’m super interested in the broadcasting, TV host realm, so I spliced together my best moments on camera from Mount Snow and Mountain Creek. I’ve been working for Mountain Creek about two months now. Some may question my moving from VT back to NJ, but I’m stoked to be representing and promoting my home mountain. After all, the resort at which you’ve repeatedly slammed your tailbone tends to leave a special place in your heart… and bruise on your [...] Went up to Vermont this past weekend to visit some friends. It was nice to get away for a few days. Made some jewelry, drank good coffee, chilled around a fire, and snapped a few pictures along the way. Super mellow weekend. Check the pictures – comments encouraged. Share Apparently, that taste of spring skiing was just that… a taste. The cold weather is back and it brought a half a foot of snow with it. I can’t say I’m happy about the shoveling, but the snowboarding should be awesome tomorrow. The mountain was getting a bit thin on some of the natural terrain, [...] I can taste it. I LOVE when the snow is soft and you don’t freeze your ass off on the lift. It might just be me, but spring skiing is conducive to learning new things. Maybe it’s because I feel like the mushy snow will cushion any falls that may occur. Yeah, that’s probably it. [...] I rode around Mount Snow as a jester today and had a good time despite being really cold. It seemed like it was going to be a rough day since the thaw/freeze closed a lot of our terrain until grooming could chop it up. I’m very impressed with the grooming here… they did a great [...] Mount Snow just seems different to me after snowboarding there the past two days. I know I mentioned this before, but riding is so different when you’re not on the clock. I’ve had off from work today and yesterday and went snowboarding in some of the best conditions we’ve had all season – a foot [...] Yeah, it was cold… and yes, it was windy. But there was a foot of fresh snow on the ground and I wasn’t missing it. It was great going to the hill without a backpack, a bunch of cameras, a name tag or other responsibilities and deadlines looming over my head while I was riding [...] Unfortunately, the calm is BEFORE the storm… not after. Mount Snow and other resorts throughout Vermont got dumped on with snow totals ranging from 8-15″ of snow. As the storm moves out, the wind kicks up resulting in wind holds on key chairlifts. I’ve perused a few of the mountain’s websites throughout the state and [...] So I guess I have a lot of stuff to tell you since I’ve been MIA here lately… to all 3 of you that might read this. My most recent endeavor involved a snowmobile and a frozen lake. I’ve never driven a snowmobile before, but it was fricken awesome. I wasn’t too keen [...] |
