Kody, Sara and I are headed west on the 19th. Destination? Aspen Snowmass, where the beer flows like wine. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been there – my first experience riding on the west coast. It blew my mind and I can’t WAIT to go back! I’ll be bringing my 145 GNU B-street BTX [...] Quick Ratings: Fit. Things picked up at Creek and the video camera was glued to my hand this past week. I tossed these two edits together to show the amazingness (yeah, I’m biased) that went down. See the rest of Mountain Creek’s videos at: youtube.com/user/mountaincreeknj First video shot with Mountain Creek’s new HD camcorder – Canon HF200 . So far, I really love this camera – still trying to figure out the import/export settings and compatibility issues with my version of Final Cut Express. Yeah, I try to get healthy for the season. A couple of lunges, vanilla oatmeal and stretching are a part of my “extensive” and “intense” preseason training. So I’m on track, lunging away like a champ, when Ben & Jerry interrupt. This video is out of control. Sure, it doesn’t hurt to have a mountain covered in powder to shoot, but everything about it is sick – skiing and snowboarding, RIDICULOUS back country riding, natural jibs, man-made jibs, powder slashes, cliff drops, some commentary, decent background track… Plus, it’s the perfect length. You’ll watch from beginning [...] Christmas came early this year, kids. In an earlier post, I touched upon what I ordered from Burton. Well, the clothes are here… annnnd they’re fabulous. Burton baselayers are made with DRYRIDE Ultrawick fabric so they’ll dry faster, wick away moisture and avoid smelling like onions dipped in awful. I could explain the premise of the “whine flu” and how it’s “infected” the tri-state area causing delirium and random acts of winter… but you’re better off just watching it. |
