Quick Ratings: Fit. Yeah, I try to get healthy for the season. A couple of lunges, vanilla oatmeal and stretching are a part of my “extensive” and “intense” preseason training. So I’m on track, lunging away like a champ, when Ben & Jerry interrupt. This video is out of control. Sure, it doesn’t hurt to have a mountain covered in powder to shoot, but everything about it is sick – skiing and snowboarding, RIDICULOUS back country riding, natural jibs, man-made jibs, powder slashes, cliff drops, some commentary, decent background track… Plus, it’s the perfect length. You’ll watch from beginning [...] Christmas came early this year, kids. In an earlier post, I touched upon what I ordered from Burton. Well, the clothes are here… annnnd they’re fabulous. When you think mp3 player, you think iPod. Same goes for tight riding pants. If you want waterproof boot cut pants, you shop Holden. It’s no secret – Roxy makes attractive, technical gear. Maybe it was the “what-the-hell-kind-of-name-is-that” name. Whatever the case, Burton’s Molotov EST binding looks hawt. Weight, flex, and price are things to consider… but if the binding isn’t comfortable, you’re eff’d. I like the new Park-Specific ASYM Superstrap. The shape’s been changed and the padding [...] When the stars align and all is calm & right with the world of snowsports, a company is born. They produce wicked stylish outerwear with tech far beyond your wildest dreams. 2008 was that year. Meet TREW Gear. |
