Three sunny days in a row? Bananas. Best day of the trip hands down. After a quick dose of coffee (caffeine), my legs felt brand new. We took a few warm-up laps and then made our way to The Cirque.

Now, I’m from the east coast… so it’s not too often we use surface lifts  (aka: strange-as-hell lifts) called “t-bars” and “pomalifts”. This was quite the experience. It has been confirmed – I’m extremely clumsy, but somehow handle embarrassing situations gracefully. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of my lift ride, as I was hanging on to the pole for dear life.

I felt like we were on the top of the tallest point in the world – above the treeline, nothing but snow wide open snow in front of us. We even found some untouched powder here and there. Kody and Sara (pictured above) were on the hunt for some small cliff drops. When I say “cliff,” I mean we hit some natural rollers that might have had a boulder-esque rock underneath. Gnar.

The rest of the day involved sunny tree runs, mogul runs (whether we meant to or not), park laps and really fast turns. Snowmass offers a great variety – mainly why we rode there most of our trip.
