Merry ChristmasLast weekend, we got over 30″ of snow in three days – just in time for Christmas week. The mountain and the area did a complete 180 and suddenly we’re back to looking wintry and festive. This has been the most powder I’ve ever snowboarded in, or should I say, clumsily descended through. I want to get better so hopefully the weather drops some more powder on us soon so I can practice. My first Christmas in Vermont is living up to the reputation most postcards and movies give it. I hope you all have a great holiday wherever you are. 2 comments to Merry Christmas |

Hey there! Hope Christmas was good!
Was wondering if you were able to ride your K2 vvv rocker yet?
I’m getting my girlfriend a new board this season and am stuck between the rocker version and the normal vvv. She’s an intermediate rider and started off on a 139 board, got her a 147 because of complaints regarding lack of speed. Now she wants a shorter board to mess around on. Will the rocker model be difficult to adjust to? Been sitting in front of the lap top for ever trying to decide. The rocker model in 139 is also sold out everywhere! =(
I actually never wound up buying the k2 vvv rocker or the neversummer infinity. I decided I’d rather just have one deck that would handle everything well which is why I bought the GNU B-Street BTX. I wanted something with the magnatraction/banana camber combo and I’m very happy with the purchase. The board handles hard pack/ice very well thanks to the wavy sidecut and the banana camber is super fun for presses and butters. It’s really poppy, too. There are pictures to the right if you want to check out the board’s look up close.
There are a few boards in the B series… the B-Pro, B-Street and the B-Nice. All differ in stiffness. The Street (mine) is the softest, most park oriented. The B-Pro is an all mountain freestyle board, moderate flex. The B-Nice is the most freeride oriented board being the stiffest in the series. Hope that helps!
